About this deal

Thanks to the originally developed SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism, the GR III effectively compensates for camera shake at the time of shutter release. Its three-axis mechanism minimizes adverse effects of camera shake caused by pitch, yaw and roll by as much as four shutter steps. It's a great choice for documentary, travel or scenic photography when you want to take in all of what's happening in front of you. Its ultra-wide field of view may not be ideal for tight focusing on a single subject, but if what you are looking for is a camera to capture the scenery or to take in the busy environment of a bustling city, the 28mm lens of the GR III would be my choice.

I missed having more control over the focus and the absent viewfinder made taking the photos feel just like using a mobile phone camera except with a higher quality screen. It is worth mentioning that if you go for the GR III X you can buy the GV-3 External Viewfinder which would absolutely fix this issue. When the camera’s power is turned off, the camera displays an original termination screen consisting of the specially designed product logo and a street-view image that symbolizes the camera’s “street snapshot” concept.Corrected --- When shooting with the multiple exposure, in rare cases the live view may not display correctly. The dedicated end screen of "RICOH GR III Street Edition" (version 1.40) will be maintained even with the new version. The body feels just as solid as previous GR cameras, with a relatively bulbous grip around the front that allows you to get a good, secure hold. This is also coated in a tactile rubber, which continues all the way round to the rear plate were the thumb rests. Look, batteries are easy to replace when they run out. And if you’re going to shoot with the GR3 you’re going to need a bunch of extra batteries. For me, this is a 4 or 5 battery camera. I might use 3 batteries on a full day of shooting plus I like to have at least one extra fully charged battery on top of whatever I think I’ll use. The major difference between the GR III and GR III X is the lens. The GR III has been designed with a 28mm focal length while the GR III X has a larger 40mm equivalent focal length creating a slightly narrower field of view. Despite seeming like a potentially small difference, it can be majorly impactful depending on the style of photography you are more inclined to produce.

I’m typically an eye-level viewfinder kind of guy who enjoys the precision of framing my shots with an enlarged viewfinder image. Especially one where I can dial in my prescription with a diopter! The RICOH GR III Street Edition, a high-grade digital compact camera that doesn’t include the viewfinder and the strap, is also scheduled to be launched in the autumn of 2020. Pricing and AvailabilityLenses – Should have no marks on the elements andoptically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect theimagery. File Format: MPEG4 AVC/H.264 (MOV), Recorded Pixels: Full HD (1920×1080, 60p/30p/24p), Sound: Built-in stereo microphone, Recording Time: Up to 25 minutes or 4GB; automatically stops recording if the internal temperature of the camera becomes high. Details are nice and sharp across the frame, even when you're using the camera at its widest f/2.8 aperture, and distortion is minimal. Vignetting is more of a problem, although this can be rectified with the Peripheral Illumination Correction feature. Images don't quite have the most pleasing colors straight out of the camera, so you may want to tweak this before you shoot (or after with the Raw Development feature, which works very well). Cross Processing] has been added to [Image control] of the 6 [Image Process Setting] menu in the [Still Image Settings].
